
Dangerous Goods
For the safety of all passengers and crew, some items cannot be carried on Skippers flights.
Some items are prohibited completely. Others may only be carried under specific conditions or with prior approval.
Before you travel, please check your baggage carefully and make sure you are not carrying any prohibited or restricted items in your checked baggage, cabin baggage or on your person.
Prohibited Items
The following items must not be carried on Skippers flights:
- Explosives, fireworks, flares or ammunition
- Flammable liquids, fuels, lighter fluid or paints
- Flammable solids or substances that may ignite
- Compressed gases, gas cylinders or aerosols not approved for travel
- Corrosive substances, including acids, alkalis or wet cell batteries
- Toxic or poisonous substances
- Infectious substances or biological materials
- Radioactive materials
- Oxidising substances or organic peroxides
- Magnetised materials
- Any item that may present a safety risk to the aircraft, passengers or crew
Passengers must not pack prohibited items in checked baggage, cabin baggage or carry them on their person.


Restricted Items
Some items may be allowed, but only under certain conditions.
These may include:
- Lithium batteries and battery-powered devices
- Power banks and spare batteries
- Medical equipment or mobility aids
- Aerosols for personal or medicinal use
- Dry ice
- Camping equipment
- Tools or sharp items
- Sporting equipment
- Firearms or ammunition, where approved in advance
These items may need to meet specific size, quantity, packaging or approval requirements before they can be accepted for travel.
Lithium Batteries And Power Banks
Spare lithium batteries and power banks should be carried in cabin baggage only.
Spare batteries must be protected from short circuiting.
Devices should be switched off and protected from accidental activation.
Damaged, swollen or recalled batteries must not be carried.
Contact Skippers before travel if you are carrying large batteries, mobility devices, specialist equipment or battery-powered tools.


Aerosols And Toiletries
Small personal-use items may be permitted if packed safely.
These may include:
- Deodorant
- Hairspray
- Perfume
- Medicinal aerosols
- Small personal care items
All aerosols must have caps or protection to prevent accidental release.
Camping, Outdoor And Work Equipment
Some camping, outdoor and work-related items may be restricted or prohibited.
This may include:
- Camping stoves
- Fuel containers
- Gas cartridges
- Chainsaws or powered tools
- Paints, solvents or chemicals
- Insect sprays or pesticides
Fuel containers and equipment that has contained fuel may not be accepted unless completely emptied and cleaned.
Contact Skippers before bringing these items to the airport.


Firearms And Ammunition
Firearms, ammunition and related equipment must not be carried unless declared and approved in advance.
These items are subject to strict packaging, documentation and handling requirements.
Passengers must contact Skippers before travel if they intend to carry firearms or ammunition.
